Why rent self storage

A room of your own

Your unit is a private, sealed room with its own roll-up door — not a shared cage or a corner of a warehouse. You hold the only key, and your gate codes are yours alone.

Drive right up

Park at your door and unload straight from the car. No lifts, no long corridors, no booking a loading bay — just open up and carry it three steps.

The basics

What self storage is for

Self storage is space you rent by the month for the things that no longer fit at home. Most people find us in the middle of something — a move that didn't line up, a renovation, a growing family, a parent's house that needs clearing gently rather than quickly.

You keep the key, in the form of your own PIN. You come and go whenever you like, put in and take out whatever you like, and stay as long as it's useful. When you're done, you tell us and it ends.

What goes in

What people keep here

Whatever life has more of than your house has room for.

Furniture

Sofas, beds and dining sets between homes or between owners.

Boxes & bins

The packed-up middle of a move, kept somewhere dry and safe.

Seasonal things

Junkanoo costumes, Christmas décor and holiday gear until next year.

Electronics

Spare TVs, computers and speakers, boxed and up off the floor.

Student summers

A dorm room’s worth of life parked for a few months at a time.

Hobbies & sports

Bikes, dive kit, instruments and everything the garage can’t hold.

How people use it

When self storage helps

Moving house

Bridge the gap when the dates don’t quite meet in the middle.

Renovating

Get the furniture out of the dust and back in when it’s finished.

Downsizing

Decide what stays without deciding all of it this week.

Just more space

Reclaim the garage, the spare room, or the corner of the living room.

Storage tips

Packing it properly

01

Label the boxes you’ll want

Future you will come back for exactly one thing. Make it findable.

02

Heavy low, light high

Stack the sturdy boxes underneath and keep the fragile ones off the floor.

03

Leave an aisle

Fill the walls but keep a path to the back — you’ll thank yourself.

FAQs

Questions, answered

What size unit do I need?

A 360 sq ft Fort or Hold holds roughly the contents of a three-to-four bedroom home; the 480 sq ft Vault gives you room to walk the aisles. All three are 18 ft tall, so racking goes a long way. Describe what you’re storing and we’ll tell you honestly which one fits.

How long can I keep it?

Units are leased on a two-year term at a locked monthly rate. The rate you sign is the rate you pay for the full term; we reach out before it ends to renew.

Can I get in at night?

Yes. Your personal codes work any hour of any day, including weekends and holidays, with cameras on the site around the clock.

Are the units cooled?

Not by default — and no unit comes with an air conditioner fitted. Eight units (the Vaults and Forts) are cold-ready: wired so you can install and run your own refrigeration or AC, with electricity billed to you. The eight Holds are standard dry units.

Is my property insured?

The building and grounds are insured; the contents of your unit remain your responsibility. We recommend contents insurance — it isn’t required.

Can someone else collect for me?

Gate codes are personal and your key stays with you — sharing codes and subletting aren’t permitted. If someone else needs regular access, tell us and we’ll set it up properly.

Storing for a business instead?

Stock, files and equipment, five minutes from Carmichael Road.
